Worldwide News

As someone who spent a considerable amount of their college experience in journalism courses, it is my opinion that we too often settle for a nationalistic perspective when it comes to happenings around the globe. If there is one lesson university level journalism classes are delivering, it's that it is our responsiblity to actively engage and interact with media. Furthermore, a true citizen of the news should also be a critical one.

With that said, I have compiled a list of news sources spanning the continents. Each site is written or translated in English. By expanding the number of sources you are using, I hope that these sites can offer you a fresh perspective on the day's events. It's incredible to observe how a story can be interpreted differently in seperate parts of the world or how an event can be leading news in one place, but never covered in another.
